I have been so obsessed with Birdy lately!  Her voice is so beautiful and she puts the perfect ammount of personality into anything she sings!  My favorites are Skinny Love originally by Bon Iver and 1901 originally by Pheonix.  Take a listen!

Hello everyone!  First of all i am sorry i haven't been posting these last couple of months.  I have been busy working two jobs and going to school so life has been a little crazy, but through all of that i realized that sometimes you just need to sit back from your hectic life and do something you love!  I love to blog and so this is my break from reality!  Second of all i would like to thank Sugarlips for sending me these amazing pants!  They are the perfect high waisted pants and comfy too!  If you get a second you should definitely check out their super adorable online boutique!

My outfit is almost 100% thrifted!  a couple weeks ago savers was having one of their 50% off sales and i was so there!  and my oh my was it crazy!  my adrenaline was pumping and i was on a roll!  this blazer is one of the treasures that i snatched up and for only 2 bucks!  the crazy people and bad smell were definitely worth it!  but man do i have a story for you guys!  so since it is so packed with people wanting to try things on we were only allowed to try on six items at a time so i got clever and had Loys stand in line for me while i tried things on so that once i was done i wouldn't have to wait long to try my next set of clothes on.  well the lady behind us did not like this very much and as soon as she saw me heading back to the dressing room the started chewing Loys out (in spanish) and he was very traumatized by this event.  poor guy.

Strange fact: when i'm bored i play around with my hair...and this is how this braided beauty came to be.  it took me about 10 tries but i finally got it!  yes!

so anyways, My dear loys is going away to Job Corps next Tuesday until August.  I'm not quite sure how i feel about this.  I'm happy because this is something he really wants to do but I'm sad because hes leaving in less than a week.  i think I'm still in the denial stage where you know its going to happen but you haven quite come to the realization emotionally.  i have no idea what I'm going to do...i even had to learn how to use the timer on my camera because he wont be around to take pictures!  and i guess i have to get my license now because i wont have him to drive me around.  i am such a slacker!

i have decided that purple, pink and orange were destined to be together.  since i have been absent from this blog of mine i dyed my hair, made this skirt ( out of a men's sweater), found this Zara sweater (50% cashmere 50% silk) at the thrift store!, received a pile of glorious tights (including these), and bought these super cute heels at target for $8!!  yes, be jealous.

my memories software review and GIVEAWAY

My Memories scrap booking software is a fun and easy way to preserve memories!  i love it because there are so many different ways to make a scrap book, you can choose from their designer templates or create your own.  they also have many assortments of embellishments, paper, stamps and much more to make your page unique!  i love to scrap book with my mom and i love it but we always make such a huge mess with all the cutting and gluing, that is what i love about this!  there is no mess and no clean up!  you don't need a huge space to make a scrap book any more.  i also love that once you finish your scrap book you can print it straight from your computer!  here is a little scrap book i made.  get ready for a mushy love story!

lets take a walk

the other day loys took me on a walk up the canyon.  it was so beautiful!  we hiked up to a frozen creek.  the weather was perfect and the lighting was amazing!  i hope you guys have an amazing weekend!
